Handbound Sketchbook Series: “Letters to Childhood”
Letters to Childhood is a small first-edition collaboration between Coleela Bindery and watercolor artist George Rosales. Each sketchbook features a different artwork from his series, so no two books are alike—perfect for people who secretly want “the only one” of something.

The covers are made from a thrifted curtain fabric. They had a past life, and now they’re ready for a creative future. Inside, you’ll find 200gsm watercolor paper with both smooth and rough texture, personally chosen by George—the same type he uses for his own paintings.

I bind each sketchbook by hand using traditional case binding. It’s slow work, but it keeps me grounded and reminds me why I love making things the thoughtful way.

George’s artworks often bring back memories of growing up in the province—simple days, small joys, and the kind of wonder I’m trying to keep alive now as a mother of two. This series feels like a gentle nudge to reconnect with that part of ourselves.

This first-edition set of ten is now available in my shop for ₱950.00 each. The full set comes in a box and includes a handsewn fabric charm (made from the same cloth used for the cover), 9 stickers of the other artworks, and an authenticity card to mark this as a limited-edition sketchbook. Click here to explore this one-of-a-kind collection—your chance to enjoy a handmade sketchbook and an art print in one piece.
I hope these sketchbooks inspire you to doodle, daydream, or simply enjoy a quiet moment—just like the good old days.
