Description
This journal is part of a limited run of 7 handbound pieces made to quietly honor Roland Bay-an, a pioneering painter from Benguet.
Each journal features a printed sketch by Mr. Bay-an on the cover—a quiet profile drawing—and is personally signed by him inside.
The cover is wrapped in thrifted table napkins, olive green in tone, with visible stitched corners on the front—a small handmade detail that adds to its quiet presence.
The first page features a linocut print designed by Coleela Bindery. The print includes a space that the owner may personalize—perhaps with a title, a name, or a dedication.
Inside are blank, unlined pages made from a mix of papers—some smooth, some textured, some fold-out—inviting quiet use for drawing, writing, or reflection. Each copy was made slowly and with attention.
This is not just a sketchbook or notebook. It is a quiet space, and a tribute to a life lived in art.
100% of proceeds will go toward Mr. Bay-an’s ongoing medical needs.
