About Coleela

Coleela is a small creative studio that celebrates the handmade, the slow, and the slightly off-center (in the best way).
The name comes from my two daughters, Coleen and Leela, whose curiosity and wonder remind me every day why making things by hand still matters.
At Coleela, I make things that are both beautiful and meaningful, even if a little imperfect. Most of my work involves stitching and creating with materials I love—found fabrics, thread and paper. Some days I’m binding books, other days I’m stitching wall art, or experimenting with pieces that don’t quite fit any category—which is exactly how I like it.
I started this space to give myself room to work slowly, stay close to the materials, and connect with others who value design, craftsmanship, and objects with a story. It’s not a big operation (unless you count the mountain of fabric scraps), but it’s full of heart — and probably a stray thread or two.
Welcome to Coleela. I’m glad you found your way here.
